LOOKING BACK AND LOOKING AHEAD…A DECADE OF MAGIS INSURANCE GROUP

Magis Insurance Group

As we start a new year, it marks a decade since a new firm, MAGIS Insurance Group, reconstituted without former partners, was borne in Wayne, PA.  In reality, it was a two mile move down the road on the Main Line of Philadelphia with the same clients, many of whom we had already served as their insurance advisors for a decade and many we still enjoy a trusted relationship ten years later.

A lot has transpired in the past decade… some we might have expected, and some we could not have imagined in our wildest dreams! We barely knew what Instagram or Twitter was, and COVID, pandemic, “masking up” were not in our vocabulary at all. In 2012, there were 7,950 wildfires in CA that burned 869,000 acres, while 6.7 million acres burned in 2022 in 50,951 CA wildfires. Cyber liability was not in the insurance or legal vernacular; today potential threats fill our inboxes and phones daily.

As this past decade marched on, there is one thing that was constant – we continued to rely on the confidence of our clients and advisor partners for our industry knowledge, expertise and ability to help protect significant assets and lifestyles. As we begin 2023, we want to express our sincere gratitude for you!

When Magis was founded, the choice of the name was deliberate – Latin for “to do more or greater”.  Along with doing more to help protect our clients’ assets, we made and have continued our tradition of providing volunteer and financial support to better the communities in which we live and work.  Our Associates and the company have supported a wide range of organizations this year doing amazing work changing lives – organizations like Surrey Services who support the needs of older adults to live healthy, independent lives; Community Volunteers in Medicine who ensures the health of communities providing free medical and dental care to those without access; The Barnes Foundation who are nourishing students’ imaginations with arts education and appreciation to children with no access in schools; Good Samaritan Services who transform lives providing housing and support services from crisis to stability… just to name a few. In addition, we are proud to support healthcare research, organ transplant services, character development among young people, and a wide variety of community-based initiatives.  Again, we do this thanks to your support of us and in honor of you!

While it appears 2023 may remain challenging in some ways, we have much for which to show extreme gratitude.  The wish of all of us at Magis Insurance Group is that you make the most of each day, making memories with those close to you, and making a difference for those in your community that might need you most!

Best,

Rick
